ICC-Lyon 2024 – News

• Ethics committee “TENDING TO OUR ROOTS” Professional development events.
• During the 18^th International conference on Catalysis (ICC), the ICC Ethics committee organized  two 1-hour events entitled  “ An interdisciplinary Dialogues for the continuous  grounding of you research”.  Taking stock of the state of the Earth system within the planetary boundaries framework and given the interdependencies between catalysis development and the ongoing Great Acceleration that characterizes this state of fact, this event was organized around the question: “How can we uncouple the development of catalysis, i.e. the science accelerating matter transformation,  from the  worrisome aspects of the ecological and socio-environmental accelerating changes? “
• To discuss it, ten posters (see below)  were presented  and discussed in the presence of an interdisciplinary group  of animators ( chemistry, philosophy, history and  sociology). During the events, about an hundred conference delegates dialogued on the topic that engages the collective and individual ethics responsibility of researchers in catalysis.
